Born July 29, 1931, in Magnolia, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John William and Gusta Mae Shambaugh Stotler.
Her husband, Leroy James Farris, died April 23, 1979. They were married April 23, 1947.
She attended schools in the Magnolia and Hancock areas.
She was employed as a certified nursing assistant at War Memorial Hospital in Morgan County, retiring in 2000, after 35 years of service.
She attended United Brethren Church of Great Cacapon, W.Va.
She is survived by three daughters, Darlene Stotler, Judy A. Gray and D.J. Stanley, all of Berkeley Springs; five sons, Leslie L. Farris, Robert L. Farris and Patrick L. Farris, all of Berkeley Springs, Danny R. Farris of Great Cacapon, W.Va., and Michael W. Farris of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Thelma K. Frazier of Berkeley Springs; four brothers, James L. Stotler Sr., Roger W. Stotler and Earl E. Stotler, all of Berkeley Springs, and Donald C. Stotler of Great Cacapon; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Terry R. Farris; three sisters, Esther Willey, Mable Stinebaugh and Lorraine Hovermale; and one brother, John W. Stotler Jr.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church, Great Cacapon. Pastor Steven R. Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Great Cacapon.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, and Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the church.
