GERALD BLACK
BALLINGER Gerald Black, age 69 of Ballinger, passed away on Monday evening, Dec. 15, 3003 in Ballinger Memorial Hospital.
Gerald was born on Aug. 5, 1934, in Ballinger to Ross M. and Lola A. Allison Black.
In 1953, he started working as an oilfield pumper for Thomas D. Pumphreys and spent his life in the business and at one time was an independent operator. Since 1992 he was a production superintendent for Caraway Operating in San Angelo until the time of his death.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Ballinger. He knew a lot of people and was loved by all that knew him.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Doug Black. He is survived by his wife, Kay Black of Ballinger; his daughters, . . . ; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, His brother Ross M. Black Jr. and Vida of Ballinger, Jimmy Black and Virginia of Winters, Bobby Black and Joyce of San Angelo, and his cousins, Deanie Organ of Georgetown and Lorene Allison of Ballinger also survive.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at the First Christian Church with Lynn Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Rains-Seale Funeral Home
