Pauline Harkins Gibson was born and raised in Canton, NC, the daughter of Charles M. and Lillie Harkins. She dearly loved her family, and had great memories of playing baseball with her brothers. She moved to Marion when she married Ed Gibson in 1923. She was a long time member of the Marion First United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for 67 years. She is survived by her two sons Bryan and Larry, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
