James T. Clark Jr. (1938-2012)


BONHAM - Funeral services for James T. Clark Jr., 73, of Bonham will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at the Seventh and Main Baptist Church in Bonham. Bro. Brandon Dona and Mr. Chris Pendergrass will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Fannin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Clark, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas.

James Truitt Clark Jr. was born on May 22, 1938 in Windom to James Truitt and Bonnie Faye (Crossland) Clark Sr. He married Bonnie Anita (Breece) Clark on May 20, 1956, in Honey Grove. Mr. Clark was employed as senior project Manager with General Cable from 1958 until the plant's closing, and then became plant manager with Wire and Plastics Company in Bonham. He was long-time treasurer and served on the board of directors with Bonham Chamber of Commerce, a member of Sherman Elks Lodge 2280, Exalted Ruler for 3 years, past district V.P. and DDGER. He coached little league baseball and women's softball in Bonham. He was also active in Relay For Life and an active member at the Central Baptist Church in Bonham.

James is survived by his wife, Bonnie Clark of Bonham; daughters, Beverly Herndon and Joe of Bonham, and Yevonda Daniel of Sherman; son, Richard Lynn Clark and Sally of Bonham; mother, Bonnie Faye Clark of Bonham; grandchildren, Bryan Pendergrass and wife Amanda, James Ray Horn and wife Jenny, Chris Pendergrass and wife Bonnie, David Horn and wife Tereasa, Nicole Houston and husband Brandon, Jeremy Clark, Randy Pendergrass and wife Dallas, Krystal Clark and fiance Jared Ball;, Jared Clark, Jimmy Clark, Jamie Clark, Faith Clark, and "Little" Ricky Clark; 32 great-grandchildren; brothers, Otis Clark and wife Kathy of Allen and Danny Clark and wife Ruby of Dodd City, and sister-in-law, Patricia Thomas of Pottsboro. He is also survived by extended family Laura and Brad Mioton, Julie and Tony Woodall, Sandy and Will Cates, Jennifer Daniel, Jessica Daniel, and James Robert and Annie Daniel.

He is preceded in death by his father, James T. Clark Sr.; son, James Monroe Clark, and brother-Melvin Clark.

Serving as pallbearers will be James Ray Horn, Mike Hintergardt, Tom Turner, David Cole, Bill Jones, Tim Meek, Steve Vaughn, and Roger Nichols. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Pendergrass, Chris Pendergrass, Randy Pendergrass, James Horn, David Horn, Jeremy Clark, Jared Clark, Jimmy Clark, and "Little" Ricky Clark.

Family visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations being made in his honor, Fannin County Relay For Life , P.O. Box 699, Bonham, TX 75418.
