William H. "Brownie" Brown, 81, died Oct. 26 at Westview Nursing Center.
He was a native of Waverly, Ind., and a longtime resident of Garden City. He retired from the Georgia Army National Guard as an aviation technician. He was a Mason and in previous years was active in the Lions Club. He was also a member of the Chatham Artillery.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Estelle B. Brown of Garden City; two sons, William H. Brown II of Savannah and Charles E. Brown of Garden City; a daughter, Douglas Carter of Atlanta; and four grandchildren.
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Massey Chapel, Garden City.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 1 p.m. Wednesday in Hillcrest Abbey West.
