Newberry, Feb. 13, 1925.
Lavinia Bowers, widow of the late Levi Bowers, a Confederate Veteran, died yesterday at her home near Little Mountain after a lingering illness, in her 96th year. The funeral service were held today in the family burying ground near the home, conducted by Rev. J.L. Cromer. Surving children; Mrs. Pat Boland, Mrs. W.E. Miller, Mrs. G.A. Counts, Mrs.Janie Wilson and Dr. J.L. Bowers, with whom she made her home.
