The Son Of Ulric LeMay and Clara Lambert.
On April 15th, 1933 he was Ordained Priest of Society of Mary of Rome, Italy. On June 14th, 1960, he was Appointed Vicar Apostolic of Northern Solomon Islands,
Papua New Guinea. Also appointed that same day;
Titular Bishop of Agbia. Ordained on September 21st, 1960 Titular Bishop of Agbia. On November 15th, 1966, he was appointed Bishop of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea and on July 1st, 1974,Resigned as Bishop of Bougainville,
Papua New Guinea. On September 9th, 1983 he died as
Bishop Emeritus of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea.
The Sacred congregation for the propagation of the Faith granted to Bishop Leo Lemay sm, New Vicar Apostolic of the North Solomons, the power to the definitive date of the Foundation of the little Sisters of Nazareth of Papua New Guinea.
He was a Priest for 50 years and a Bishop for 23 years.
