Obituary from The Rhinelander Daily News newspaper dated Thursday, July 18, 1935:
Mrs. Fredericka Wenzel Krantz, local artist and for 22 years in business here, passed away at 1:40 o'clock this morning at her home, Randall avenue at Kemp street.
She had been in failing health for nine years, and seriously ill for the past year. She retired from business here two years ago because of her health.
She was born November 25, 1881 in Toledo, Ohio, but had lived most of her life in this country, having come to Enterprise in 1888. Rhinelander had been her home for the past 30 years. She was educated in the schools at Antigo, and studied millinery and art in Milwaukee. Her home here was filled with her art work, painting being her hobby.
Two sisters, Mrs. Emma Gropengiser and Mrs. Mildred Kelley of Rhinelander; and two brothers, William Wenzel of Rhinelander and August Wenzel of Peshtigo, survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon from the home, with the Reverend Henry C. Spear officiating. Interment will be in Forest Home cemetery.
