Clara Barbara Smithberger, age 105, died Monday, February 6, 2012 at Winchester Place. Born March 22, 1906 in Noble County, Ohio to the late Maurice and Teresa (Heil) Hohman. Preceded in death by her husband Clarence, 12 brothers and sisters and son-in-law John Sturm. She is survived by sons, Clarence "Smitty" (Barb) Smithberger and Robert (Joanne) Smithberger; daughters, Rita (Roger) Eppley, Annette (Ronald) Schafer, and Elaine Sturm; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grand-children; and one great-great-grand-child. Friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, Pickerington, where a vigil service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Catholic Church, with Fr. James Klima celebrant. Visitation will also be held Friday 2-2:30 p.m at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fulda, Ohio. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family requests no flowers.
