Blanche Hopkins Saylor, 95

Blanche Hopkins Saylor, 95, of Crab Orchard, died Thursday, July 23 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

A native of Lincoln County, she was born May 8, 1914, to the late Ewell and Ellen Saylor Hopkins. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ and the widow of Jackson "Jack" Saylor, Jr.

She was also preceded in death by children, J.D., Walter, Jackie, Fred and Ted Saylor, Lilly Parker and Elsie Stevens; and 14 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include sons, Truman Saylor and Tommy Wade (Rosie) Saylor of Crab Orchard; daughter, Linda Dowell of Crab Orchard; brother, Johnny Hopkins of Berea; sister, Eunice Causey of Cartersville; 29 grandchildren; and several great and great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services were July 27 at McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard with Bros. Thad Eubank and Arnold Larkin officiating. Burial was in Hopkins Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Tim, Stanley, Douglas, Tommy, J.D. and Terry Saylor, Justin Dowell and David Parker.

Honorary pallbearers were Nathan Bowman, Tony and B.J. Saylor, Dale and Darrell Dowell and Trenton and Ryan Volk.
