Johnnie Idus White, aged 55, of Plainview died Tuesday, March 2, at his home. He was retired from the Air Force, a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma White; a son, Tom White of Little Rock; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John White of Plainview; a brother, Hughey White of California; one sister, Mrs. Wesley Saunders of Dardanelle.

Funeral services were held Thursday at the Plainview Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Stone of Russellville and Rev. Dan Dutton officiating. Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers were; Walter Sloan, J. P. Pelt, Odell Forrest, Odell English, Cleo Neuhart and Jim Prince. Honorary pallbearers were members of the fire department and the American Legion.
