James Hughey White, 59, of Gardena, Calif., died April 24 in a hospital at Danville. He was a native of Plainview and a retired merchant.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John White of Plainview; and one sister, Mrs. Wesley Saunders of Dardanelle.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Plainview Baptist Church by the Rev. Carl Stone. Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers were J.D.
