Isaac was first married to Margaret (b. 1756). He married Phebe Hallstead on March 27, 1819 at New Hempstead Presbyterian Church (also known as English Church).
The New City Methodist Church noted that worship was conducted for a time in the home of Isaac Jones -- a small house off W. Clarkstown Rd. In 1833 a church was built on Samuel Bisset's property above the intersection of New Hempstead and Phillips Hill Rds. In 1898 a church was built off Maple Ave., New City. Worship was conducted there for 64 years. The present sanctuary was completed in 1959.
