MRS. WARREN W. MASON
Mrs. Doris (Lamb) Mason, 56, wife of Warren W. Mason of Cedar Hill Farm, Pownal, died suddenly at her home yesterday afternoon.
Born in Williamstown August 3, 1904. Mrs. Mason was the daughter of Robert Lamb and Martha (Whitney) Lamb. She was a graduate of Williamstown High School and Bliss Business College, North Adams.
A resident of Pownal for the last 25 years, Mrs. Mason had previously been employed in the office of the Arnold Print Works, North Adams, and in later years by the Sprague Electric Company, North Adams. Her major interest centered on her home and family.
In addition to her husband, who is a Pownal town selectman, Mrs. Mason leaves 3 sons, Warren W. Jr. of Pownal, Airman 2 C Anson A. Mason, stationed at an Air Force base in the state of Washington, Private First Class James R., who is with the Marine Corps in Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Barker of Grand Forks, North Dakota; one granddaughter, Jane Irene Mason.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 pm in the Williamstown Methodist Church with Rev. James H. Bagby and Rev. Leon Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours at the Hopkins Funeral Home are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday.
