She lived most of her life in Pittsylvania County, VA and was the daughter of the late John Tarpley Wells and Mary Virginia Barbour Wells.
She married George Walter Clark on February 14, 1906.
She was predeceased by two infant sons George C Clark and Ralph Terry Clark.
Survivors are her husband and three sons William Perkins Clark, Jennings Francis Clark and Billy Taylor Clark all of Chatham, VA and one daughter Ruth Worthington Clark Smith of Halifax, VA.
She was also survived by two sisters Mrs. Maude Mitchell of Mount Cross, VA and Mrs. Florence Mitchell of Dry Fork, VA and one brother Howard Stern Wells of Dry Fork and six grandchildren.
