Thomas Boone was the son of Samuel Boone & Sarah Day (both buried at Boone's Station Historical Site (Boone's Station Farm).
He died in the Battle of Blue Licks, at the salt deposits in northeastern KY known as the Upper Blue Licks in present day Robertson Co., some 48 miles northeast of Lexington, KY, the last battle of the Revolutionary War on Aug. 19, 1782.
