Sylvia Ann Gilbert, 22, of Spotsylvania County died Saturday, March 28, 2009, in Alexandria.
She attended Colonial Beach schools and graduated from Spotsylvania High School in 2005.
She also attended Northern Virginia Community College and had worked as a cashier and a receptionist in Spotsylvania County.
She is survived by her father, Jack Eldridge Gilbert, and stepmother, Tammy, of Dale City; her mother, Sharon D. Gilbert and stepfather, Jack R. Gilbert Jr. of Spotsylvania; her maternal grandmother, Alva L. Godwin of Colonial Beach; her paternal grandparents, Jack and Rose Gilbert of Spotsylvania; two sisters, Sabrina Lee Gilbert of Spotsylvania and Jessica Ann Gilbert of Dale City; and her niece Alexis D.M. Johnston of Fulks Run, Virginia.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 3, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George, with the Rev. Wayne Gilbert officiating.
Pallbearers will be Marion Franklin Godwin II, James J. Giblin, Lawrence H. Gilbert, Daniel W. Gilbert, Pete Page and Steve Williams.
Burial to follow in Historyland Memorial Park in King George.
Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at the funeral home.
