BARBARA L. MORENO, 75 - of Galloway Township, passed away on January 12, 2007. She was born in Spring Lake, and had lived in Galloway for the past 49 years. Barbara was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was a Charter Member of the Lions Blind Center in Absecon. She was a Bookkeeper/Cashier for Caesar's Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. She enjoyed Poetry, Cross Stitch, and Knitting.
She was the second wife Ernest Gregg, Sr., married 19 Dec 1952 in Sacramento County, CA when he was stationed at Mather AFB & had their son was Ernest, Jr. She was also married to Frank Moreno and was widowed.
She is survived by her son Ernest, & wife Kim, of Dorothy; two grandchildren, Jonathan Hazelwood of Northfield, and Jeremy Ireland of Egg Harbor Township, one brother; Thomas Mariner, Jr., and wife Mary Lou of Port Orange, FL, one sister; E. Linda Paul, and husband Herman "Skip" of Roseland, and Aunt Jean Eckman of California.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents; Thomas & Margaret Mariner, and her husband, Frank.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday January 18, 2007 at the Atwood Peterson O'Brien Funeral Home 1114 White Horse Pike, Egg Harbor City. Her viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home.
Burial with Military Honors will be at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor.

Barbara's last home was on Aloe St. in Egg Harbor City, NJ. Six generations lived at 32 Taylor Ave., Manasquan, the family home where Barbara lived as little girl until it was sold in 1992. She grew up in Roseland, Essex Co., NJ & graduated from Grover Cleveland High School, Caldwell, NJ in 1949 (high school photo in photo section). Update: Her son buried with her.
