She was married to Herman F. Mead, S.D., when first married, Neb. They made their home at Lead, S.D. then returned to Geneva, where they lived until 1906, when they came to Lincoln, where they have made their home since. They celebrated their 50th anniversary on December 23, 1953.
Mrs. Mead was a member of the First Methodist church and its woman’s Society of Christian Service at Lincoln. Funeral services were held at the First Methodist church of Lincoln, Monday March 14. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery, with graveside services in the charge of Dr. F. E. Pfoutz.
Mrs. Mead is survived by her husband, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Edith Purviance of Los Angeles, two nieces, three nephews and several cousins.
