Cancer Today Takes Man Who Was Born in This City In 1858
After an illness of more than a year, Carl Martin well known resident of this city died today. He was 58 years old.
Mr. Martin was born here Feb. 14, 1858 and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Martin. He was a lifelong resident of the city. He was married Nov. 6, 1894 to Mathilde Meister. There were three children. Eleanora, Doretta and Martha. Mrs. Martin died Dec. 24, 1902.
In Nov. 1915, Mr. Martin was stricken with cancer, which caused his death today. In addition to his three daughters, he is survived by three brothers, Fred F. of this city; Louis of Preble and George of Sturgeon Bay.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday Jan. 31, at the home and at the first Evangelical Lutheran Church.
