BEECH GROVE – Eugene McGann "Jean" Falls, 73, of the Beech Grove Community, died Monday (Oct. 27, 1997) at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
She was born March 23, 1924, in Beech Grove, a daughter of the late William Luther Sr. and Sallie Campbell McGann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lavelle "Pete" Falls; two brothers, Bradford McGann and Stanley McGann; and two sisters, Lillian McGann and Mabel Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Falls was a member of Beech Grove Christian Church.
She is survived by two sons, Joel L. Falls of Roseland and Jerome E. Falls of Fishersville; one daughter, Joan F. Bell of Lyndhurst; one brother, Luther McGann Jr. of Roseland; one sister, Louise Campbell of Roseland; three grandsons; two granddaughters; two step-grandsons; one great-grandson; one step-great-grandson; two step-great-granddaughters.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Beech Grove Christian Church by the Revs. Ray Coffey and Robert Mansfield with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Chester Campbell, Ronald Campbell, Keith Dodd, Ray Fitzgerald, Andy Hickman, William Moyer, J. L. Thompson and Michael Weatherholtz.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home in Roseland.
