He was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Punta Gorda, a 32nd Degree Shriner, a 30 year member of the Masonic Blue Lodge, and the Charlotte County Builders Association. He owned and operated the O. Simpson Plastering and Stucco Business. He loved reading, gardening, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by: his wife; Anne Simpson, his daughter; Diane, and husband Frank Jones of Punta Gorda, his son; Randy, and wife Toni Simpson of Punta Gorda, his brother; George, and wife Peggy Simpson of Northport, AL, his grandchildren; Jody Strattard, Cally Simpson, Osco Simpson III, and 3 great-grandchildren.
