Donald Frank Boutillier, 73, of Elkton and formerly of Vernon, N.J., went to be with the Lord Dec. 22, 2009, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Boutillier was born June 3, 1936, in Essex County, N.J., to the late Frank I. and Doris Schmidt Boutillier.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard, serving during the Korean War.

He was a leader of the Trail Blazers Horse Club in Sussex County, N.J., for many years, and was a past member of the Sussex County Search and Rescue Equestrian Team.

He owned and operated the Valley View Standardbred Training Facility before retiring to Elkton in 1998.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years. Who survives.

He was the beloved father of two sons, Also surviving are two brothers, and 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two children, Russell and Virginia, and a brother, Gary.

Pastor Robert Buchanan will conduct a memorial service 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Elkton.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
