Helen Taylor

Helen Marie Wolaver Taylor, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. W.J. Wolaver was born on Aug 20, 1904 in Minneapolis, Minn.

At about the age of 7 they moved to Frederic on a farm south of town where her folks operated a Pavillion and farmed for number of years.

On Feb 2 1923 she was united in marriage to Ernest Taylor of rural Frederic. They farmed south of town for a few years, then moved to the Taylor farm north of Frederic, where their son now farms.

To this union 8 children were born: Violet, Mrs. Jonathan Linton of St Paul, Minn.; Marie, Mrs. Ward Turner of Newport, Minn.; Doris, Mrs. Doris Christensen of St Paul, Minn; Elmer, of Frederic; Margy, Mrs. Donald Hiller of White Bear Lake, Minn.; Catha, Mrs. Allen Foltz of Frederic; Ella, Mrs. Andrew Saumer of Pine City, Minn.; Archie of Frederic.

She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Mrs. LH. Righter (Eunice) of Marysville, Washington, and many nieces and nephews.

In 1963 they joined the Pilgrim Lutheran Church of Frederic. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 infant brother and her husband Ernest who died Aug 30 1963; also an infant granddaughter.

In the fall of 1968 she became a resident of the Frederic Nursing Home where she resided until the time of her death.

Funeral services were held at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Frederic on Friday June 1 at 3pm with Pastor Briggs officiating. Vocalist was Darlene Pederson; organist; Mary Lou Daeffler. Casket bearers were: Oscar Foltz, Harold Java, Vern Java, Fred Yira, Lawrence Lindquist and Ed Christiansen.

Interment was in the Maple Grove Cemetery. The Carlson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
