Henry was born about 1805. He is accounted for in the 1810 Buncombe Co. Census report as one of the 3 males under age 10. He is accounted for in the 1820 Buncombe Co. Census report as one of the 2 males 10-16. He died about age 15 and was unmarried.

In the 1929 sketch of Marcus Burnett, Fred M. Burnett, Sr. relates, "while riding on a load of shingles to be used in covering an addition to the house, whittling on an awl handle, Henry fell from the wagon and severed his jugular vein. He bled to death before help could reach him."
