Parents: Frederick Thomas and Margaret (Null) Burnett. Wife of Deacon Jacob "Jake" Shope. Married: Oct. 4, 1820. Children: Jacob Shope, Jr., John Burder Ferguson Shope,
Margaret Lucinda Shope Justice, and Francis Shope.

It is almost certain that Jacob & Isabella Burnett Shope were buried in the Burningtown Baptist Cemetery, but there is no proof.
There is a Shope Creek in Northwestern Macon County, NC named for Jacob Shope.
