Dovie Damrell was the daughter of Joseph and Pheobe Wright Damrell. She was married to Arthur Eden on September 12,1900 in Madison County Kentucky. She was the mother of 7 children:

James Edgar Eden born: February 25, 1907
John Eden born: February 17, 1916

Mrs. Dovie Eden dies in Garrard County

Mrs. Dovie D. Eden, 82, died at the Garrard Convalescent Home, Friday, October 13, after a long illness. She was a resident of Route 1, Berea ( Bobtown Road ). She was born in Whitley County but had lived in Berea most of her life and was a member of the Church Of God. She is survived by four sons, John and Walter of Michigan; Roy Eden of Berea and Forester Eden, Richmond, one daughter, Mrs. Preston (Virgie)Rowlette of South Gate, Michigan; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral Services were conducted at Wray Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m., Sunday by the Rev. Carlie Horn. Burial followed in the Berea Cemetery. Buried on Oct. 15, 1967 in Berea Cem.
