Nilo Richard Acevedo, 50, of Lyman, SC, died Sunday, January 1, 2012, at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Mr. Acevedo was the son of the late Nilo and Linda (Culbertson) Acevedo.

Mr. Acevedo was previously a mechanic at Addidas. He was in the National Guard for many years and was an avid baseball fan and former baseball coach.

Survivors include two sons, Alec and Adam Acevedo; a daughter, Amanda Marie Acevedo; one sister, Christina Acevedo; and one granddaughter, Haven Claire Acevedo.

Visitation was 6:30-8:00 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Living Waters Funeral Home and Crematory.

Funeral services were 2:00 PM, Friday, January 6, at Living Waters Funeral Home officiated by Steve Dickson followed by interment in Wood Memorial Park.

Memorials were made to Mr. Acevedo's children in care of Living Waters Funeral Home and Crematory, P. O. Box 758, Lyman, SC 29365.
