John Harmon was born in 1617 in England to Francis & Sarah Martin Harmon. He married Elizabeth Southwell who was born in England in 1619, They were the parents to 8 Children 5 boys & 3 girls; John II, Samuel, Sarah, Joseph, Elizabeth, Mary, Elizabeth, Nathaniel, & Ebenezer. They came to America and settled in Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts. John Harmon died Mar 3, 1661 in Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts. He was among the first settlers of Suffield, CT. After he died Elizabeth married Anthony Dorchester prior to 1664 who had two boys and a girl by his first wife who died. Elizabeth died in 1699.
