Barbara Sue Richards Bay Hutcheson, 73, of Bloomington, formerly of Brown County, died Monday morning, Jan. 2, 2012, at Bloomington Hospital.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bear Creek Cemetery in Brown County with the Rev. Darrell Miller officiating. Calling will be at Bear Creek Church after the service.

Arrangements were made by Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cottonwood Christian Church, 25323 Cottonwood Road, Morgantown, IN 46160, or the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.

Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne (Bob) Maggard of Helmsburg; two sons, Roger Bay of Unionville and James (Peggy) Bay of Ellettsville; one sister, Betty Richards of Nashville; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Barbara Sue (Richards) Bay - Hutcheson, age 73 went home to the Lord on Monday morning, January 2, 2012 at the Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington. She was a resident of Bloomington and former resident of Brown County.

Barbara was born September 17, 1938 in Bloomington to the late Robert and Josephine (Crafton) Richards. She attended school in Helmsburg.

Survivors include one daughter: Suzanne (husband, Bob) Maggard of Helmsburg, two sons:Roger Bay of Unionville & James (wife, Peggy) Bay of Ellettsville; one sister: Betty Richards of Nashville. Barbara will be remembered by her 12 grandchildren: Matthew Bay, Brad (Emilie) Bay, Becky (Robert) Holt, Abby (Haven) Howard, Candi (Chris) Meyer, Shawn (Mandy) Bay, Donnie (Shannon) Bay, Jake (Shelly) Maggard, Nikki (Craig) Zupancic, Bret Bay, Rob Birk & Sheila Birk; 9 great grandchildren: Devin Kerr, Lexi Holt, Juana & Mahayla Bay, Bella & Quinn Howard, Brayson Bay and Anthony & DJ Birk; siblings: Stanley (wife, Vicki) Richards of Tennessee, Kay (husband, Eddie) Patterson of Brown County, Steven (wife, Dixie) Richards of Colorado & Dennis Richards of Florida, Kathy (husband, Mark) Dinwiddie of Washington, Janet (husband, Ken) Polaski of Michigan.

Barbara was a homemaker and a member of the Cottonwood Christian Church in Brown County. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, reading and quilting.

The Rev. Darrell Miller will conduct a graveside service 2:00 pm Wednesday at Bear Creek Cemetery in Brown County. Family will receive friends after the graveside service at the Bear Creek Church in Brown County. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
