Mr. Dorris Hickman Jones, 87, died Monday, January 2, 2012, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 4th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Dr. Brett Golson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Jones was born August 16, 1924, in Louisville, MS. He and his wife, Helen, owned and operated Jones Men's Wear for over 29 years. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, and Korea. He was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, David Rives Jones, and his parents, Verna and J. B. Jones, and a brother, James Jones. He is survived by his wife, Helen Rives Jones of Louisville; four sisters, Irene Lipscomb of Mashulaville, MS, Mavis Barlow and Syble Miles, both of Florence, MS, and Elizabeth Ezell of Tyler, TX; a sister-in-law, Eloise (Charles) Gully of Louisville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
