CANTON - Marlin Groom, 89, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004.
Services were at 4 p.m. Thursday in Eubank Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Daniell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo.
Mr. Groom was born Oct. 16, 1914, in Van Zandt County. He married Lola Durham on April 15, 1939.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Marlin Dal Groom of Dallas; a daughter, Pris Greene of Canton; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Edith Liddell of La Junta, Colo., and Leona Wood, Geneva Sprague and Wilma Chamblee, all of Canton.
