Charles Johnson was the son of James Johnson and Hazel Cornett Johnson He died in the Korean War.

Charles was killed in the Korean War. He was first buried as a unidentified marine who was killed in action in the 1st Maine Cemetery at Inchon, Korea on 10-20-1950. In January 1951, his body was removed from that grave and moved to Japan and identified and reburied there. After the war ended, the government removed the body from the grave once more and shipped him home to his family in Kentucky.
