Funeral services for Mrs. Christ Anderka were held at the St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Faribault on Friday, July 31, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth E. Worthman, pastor of the church, officiating. Mrs. Gene Severson sang "Jesus Still Lead 'Til Our Rest Be Won" and "Abide With Me" accompanied by Miss Bonnie Kielmeyer, organist. Pallbearers were nephews of Mrs. Anderka and included: Alwin Mentz and Garfield Koberstein of Minneapolis, Leonard Gess of Austin, Wilbert Thurnau, Alfred Anderka, and Chris Koelle of Faribault. Interment was in the family lot in the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault. Relatives and friends attending the services from away were from: Minneapolis, Austin, St. Paul, Owatonna, Waseca, Kenyon and Nerstrand. Magdelana A. Bultman, the daughter of Henry and Louise Bultman, was born at her parent's farm home in Wheeling Township, Rice County, on Jan. 27, 1886. She was baptized and confirmed at the St. John's Church in Wheeling and attended the church school. She grew to young womanhood there, and then on Feb. 19, 1903, she was united in marriage to Christ Anderka at the St. John's Church. They farmed for many years at the Anderka family homestead in Richland Township and then in 1926, they moved into Faribault. Mr. Anderka passed away in July of 1960 and Mrs. Anderka continued to make her home in Faribault since. Mrs. Anderka passed away at the St. Lucas Convalescent and Geriatric Care Center in Faribault on Tuesday morning, July 28, following an illness of several months. She is survived by: four sisters, Mrs. Louise Koberstein, Mrs. Martha Thurnau, Mrs. Caroline Kelm and Mrs. Charles Young; a brother, Edward Bultman, all of Faribault; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three brothers, Emil, Henry and Ferdinand Bultman; and two sisters, Mrs. Adeline Goertz and Mrs. Mathilda Gess.
