Martha married in the next few years to Calvin Bailey, but the marriage lasted for only a couple of years before they divorced or perhaps he died as records of him disappear; she then married William J. Van Tassell. Martha is listed as a "widow" in the 1910 census so William is presumed to have died. According to her granddaughter Pauline (Chrysler) Lloyd, Martha married a man whose last name was Courtright and her name is found listed in one census record as living with her son named "Clyde Courtright". However, Clyde might have been her stepson. Very difficult to find records on this relationship. In 1920, she is shown in census records as "widowed" and now listed as a "servant" of Alonzo Guiles of Conklin, NY, whom she later married. However, her husband Alonzo apparently died shortly after their marriage as she is again listed as a "widow".
Martha's daughter Eva (Chrysler) gave one of her girls the middle name of "Martha" (the granddaughter whom I interviewed in 1990). Eva stayed close to her mother throughout her life. Martha and her son Clyde lived on the east side of Binghamton for some time.
Martha died January 9, 1939 at the home of her daughter, Maude L. "Mabel" (wife of Bert Wenn) on 12 Sunset Ave., Johnson City, NY and is interred in the Chenango Valley Cemetery, Binghamton, NY
