MILLER
Russell Miller, 85, prominent retired farmer, died at his home in Burgin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 1939, after an illness of ten months due to advanced years. Mr. Miller was born January 20, 1854, in Campbell county, Tenn., the son of James and Annie Sharp Miller He had lived in Mercer county for about 40 years and was highly esteemed by everyone who knew him. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucy O. Miller, and seven children,; C. B. Miller, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Mary Curd, Burgin; H. W. Miller, Houston, Texas; J. O. Miller, Hereford, Texas; Mrs. B. E. Welsh, Glen Mills, Pa.; Mrs. J. L. Bradshaw, Burgin, and Mrs. Herbert Gwinn, Danville.
Funeral services will be at the residence on Court street, Burgin, at 2 p.m. today, conducted by his pastor the Rev. R. L. Anderson, of the Burgin Methodist church, assisted by Rev. W. P. Fryman, of the Methodist church in Danville. Burial in the Burgin cemetery.
