Ezra Otis Kendall was the son of Cap't Ezra Kendall and Susannah Cooke Walker Kendall. He was Professor of Mathematics and Astronomy at the University of Pennsylvania. He was half brother of Sears Cook Walker, a famous astronomer and Judge Timothy Walker, a founder of the University of Cincinnati Law School.
