Howards Grove – Funeral services for William Bramstedt, Sr., 74, who died at his home Monday morning, will be held Thursday at Trinity Lutheran church, the Rev. Walter Kitzerow officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. He was born May 10, 1866, in town Herman, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bramstedt. He was married to Miss Bertha Festerling on May 9, 1891. Five children were born of this union, two having died in infancy.
His wife died on July 20, 1904. On June 25, 1921, he married Mrs. Emma Dohmeier. One child was born of this marriage. After his first marriage he lived on the old Bramstedt farm and for the past 20 years has lived near the village in retirement. He was a kind and loving father, greatly devoted to his home and family. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran church, town Herman.
Survivors are his wife; five children, Mrs. Fred (Lucy) Klokow, town Herman; Mrs. Oscar (Lillie) Kimme, Howards Grove; Elmer of town Herman; Raymond Bramstedt and Miss Irma Dohmeier, at home; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
