The death of a rural Sheboygan man in an automobile accident late Wednesday raised Sheboygan County's 1957 highway death toll to 15. Roland M. Barts, 45, was pronounced dead on arrival at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital shortly before 9 p.m. He was a passenger in a car driven by his brother, Arno W. Barts, 51, also of R. 1, Sheboygan, which left Highway 32, a half mile northwest of Howards Grove, and ran into a farmer' field. The driver escaped with minor injuries. Sheriff deputies today were pressing an investigation to substantiate the elder Barts' story that the accident was caused by a hit-and-run driver. (edited-for full story go to Nov. 29 Press)
