Neville Barnes was born March 2, 1969 to Amanda Yahola and Sidney Barnes in Wetumka, Oklahoma and passed away December 29, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 42. Neville was raised in Wetumka and Dallas Texas. He graduated from Wetumka High School and Tech School in Dallas, Texas. Neville was a mechanic and worked in construction and carpentry. He loved watching Dallas Cowboys and OU Sooners football teams play and enjoyed cooking out for friends and relatives. Preceding him in death: his father Sidney Barnes, grandmothers, Lucille Harjo and Lela Barnes, grandfathers, Norman Harjo and Tom Barnes, 1 nephew, Josh Sanchez, 2 nieces, Jenny and Carol Yahola, 1 uncle, and 3 aunts.
Survivors include his parents Amanda and Harry Maritnez, a sister Anita and husband Henry Sanchez, a brother Lewis and wife Jennifer Yahola, adopted sister Zee Anderson, his step grandmother Susie Martinez, 2 nieces, Hilary Sanchez and Lainee Yahola, 5 nephews Travis and Terrance Yahola, Chris Flanagan, and Henry and Nicholas Sanchez, 1 great nephew Chayden Spradlin, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Services were January 2, 2012 2:00 p.m. at the Salt Creek Indian Baptist Church Wetumka, Oklahoma with Reverend Mark Smith and Reverend David Dunson officiating. Interment was at the Salt Creek Indian Baptist Church. Services under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home Wetumka, Oklahoma.
