Lulling - John Henry Richter, 78, of Luling, died Friday, April 23, 2004.
He was born Jan. 27, 1926, in Moulton, to the late Alfred Henry Richter, Sr and Maude Ellen Rasor. He as an avid raccoon hunter, worked at Smith Processing, Gonzales Processing, owned and operated Richter Rendering Service, and sold firewood.
Survivors; daughters, Patricia Gayle Eichhorn and Linda Sue Haynes both of Luling and Virginia Laverne Perkins of Buda; sons, John Landon Richter, Lynn Carlton Richter and Donald Joe Richter all of Luling and Ray Allen Richter of Houston; sister, Ida Mae Crumbly of Gonzales; brothers, Alfred Henry Richter, Jr of Houston, Simeon Allen Richter of Elk Mott and James Carlton Richter of Victoria; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by; wife, Sylvia Laverne Wasut Richter; son Roger Dale Richter; and sister, Ellen Lockstedt.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at Sedyler-Hill funeral Home chapel.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at La Grange City Cemetery.
