Inscription

In memory of
WILLIAM HEATH, ESQ.
A worthy soldier of the
American Revolution,
who died Sept. 6, A.D. 1840
Leaving a widow and six
children to mourn the loss
of a beloved husband
and kind parent.

For we know if our earthly house
of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have
a building of God, an house not made
with hands, eternal in the heavens.

How sleep the brave, who sink to rest
By all their country's wishes blest!
