With sorrow we chronicle the death of Edward Shortridge, aged 24 years, who died at the home of his parents here Monday at 11:30 from typhoid fever. He came home about the first of the month from Indianapolis, where he first taken sick and has continued to grow worse until Monday night when death relived him from his suffering. He was a noble Christian son and the whole community mourn with the family in their bereavement. The funeral was held at Wildcat Church today at 11 o'clock. The funeral of Edward Shortridge was held at the Wildcat Church on Thursday. Mr Shortridge was born about 2 miles west of Crane and spent the grater part of his life in this vicinity, having moved to Stockwell with his parents about 5 years ago. His early death was a great shock to his many friend here, and the family have the sympathy of the entire community in there bereavement.
