Brenda Joyce Cross, 61, of Mt. Jackson, died Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Cross was born December 15, 1950 in Virginia, daughter of Doracus Elizabeth Ballenger Tobin of Mt. Jackson and the late Carlyle Andre Tobin.

She is survived by her companion, Mike Funkhouser; three daughters, Kimberley Jordan of Winchester, Kandace Wilson of Luray and Krista Cavallaro of New Market; a son, Jason Cross of New Market; two sisters, Paulette Dennis of Mt. Jackson and Karen Brown of Strasburg; a brother, Wesley Tobin of Strasburg; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock with Wesley Tobin officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jason Cross, Wesley Tobin, Jr., Tyler Jordan, Kevin Dennis, Denny Dennis and Derek Cross.

Memorial contributions may be made to Brenda Cross Burial Fund, c/o Dellinger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 63, Mt. Jackson, VA 22842.
