Robert C. Bohlken was born in the rural area near Lisbon and graduated from Lisbon High School. He joined the Navy and served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Boxer during World War II. He married Borghild Headland on December 21, 1942, at Lisbon.
Bob participated in business with his father, Albert, and his brother, Willis, at the Lisbon Gambles Store and Bohllken's Furniture and Hardware and after retirement as Bohlken's Repair.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Jessie (Colson) Bohlken; a brother, Willis Bohlken and a sister Helen (Bohlken) Pagel. Bob is survived by his wife, a son and daughter.
