Mrs. Fred Balk, 53 years old, R. R. 2, Muskegon, a resident of Muskegon most of her life, died Sunday in Hackley hospital after a long illness. She was born Nov. 14, 1891 at Spring Lake and attended schools in Muskegon. Formerly Fannie Timmer, she married Fred Balk, Aug. 28, 1925. She is a member of United Reformed church and the Birthday club of Fruitland township.

She leaves her husband, a son, Frederick, of Muskegon, a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Borchetta of Cascove, Conn., and her father, Alfred Osmick of Muskegon, and a brother, Peter Osmick of Detroit.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p. m. from the Clock Chapel with the Rev. Bert Brower officiating. Interment will be made in Oakwood cemetery. Friends may call at the residence.
