Yvonne "Bonnie" T. Gonzáles, age 52, a resident of Socorro, NM, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011.
Bonnie loved singing, dancing, watching her favorite television shows and playing horseshoes with her husband, Michael. Bonnie always looked forward to the weekend with her daughter Dani, and enjoyed watching her daughters and her husband play softball. Bonnie would brighten up everyone's heart especially in the morning.
"My mother was a very wonderful person and she had that special laugh that everyone loved. Bonnie used to have fun with her friends and believe me she made it worth it to have fun."
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Sara Padilla Rivera, four brothers, Gilbert Rivera, Rollie Rivera, Tony Rivera and Rudy Rivera Jr. and sister, Mary Lou Hubern.
Yvonne is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Michael Gonzáles, five children, Valentino López and his wife, Michelle Castillo, Leslie Chávez and her husband, Daniel, Katherine Gonzáles and her husband, Nago, Danielle Gonzáles and his wife, Crystal Valenzuela and Elizabeth Gonzáles and her husband, Elvis Chávez, 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild to be, two sisters, Margaret Luján and Kathy Rivera, father and mother-in-law, Marcos and Lou Gonzáles, five sisters-in-law and eight brothers-in-law. Bonnie is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
All services will be held at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real in Socorro, beginning with a viewing on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Urn bearers will be Robert, Arthur, Andy, Joey, Marcos Jr. and Polo Pineda Jr. Honorary Urn bearer will be Freddie Martínez.
