Susanne Alter Goslin, 54, of Shawnee, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011.

Susanne was born December 19, 1957, to the late Richard and Shirley Alter in Omaha, Nebraska. Susanne graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Susanne enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and collecting cookbooks. Susanne was active with the German-American and Irish American Club of Shawnee. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed trips to Mexico with friends. Susanne was a loving mother and aunt; she was active with her nieces' Christian Youth Rodeo Association.

Susanne is survived by her sons, Nicholas and Connor Goslin; three sisters, Roxanne Alter and husband Don, Kristianne Wheeler and husband Shawn and Kyndalanne Lyons; two brothers, Frank Alter and wife Roxane and Andrew Alter; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Shawnee.
