When they were first married, Tip and Lillie lived with Tip's widowed mother on the farm on Hannerville Road. Eventually they moved to High Point. They returned to the farm around the early 50's, possibly after Tip retired.
Lillie and Tip attended Pleasant Grove Methodist church. Lillie had been a patient in The Piedmont Christian Home for about four years before her death.
In addition to her extended family members, Lillie was survived by a sister, Mamie (Wright) and a brother, Walter A. Johnson.
