She was born in Wolf Coal, Breathitt County, Kentucky on January 9, 1925 to Riley and Laura Bell (Stidham) Sizemore. She attended schools in Breathitt and Perry Counties, Kentucky. She has been a resident of Middletown since 1943. Alpha worked at both the Raymond Bag Co. and Eversharp, but has been a homemaker most of her adult life. She was a member of the Dixie Highway Christian Center. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Wilbur Peck; a son, Phillip W. (wife, Kathy) Peck of Middletown; a granddaughter, Nicole (husband, Ean) VonScheerschmidt of Kettering; two step-grandchildren, Angi Tague of Virginia and Phillip Berry of Middletown; two step-great- grandchildren, Cole and Luke Tague of Virginia; and a sister, Gertie Adams of Middletown. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Elbert, Woodrow, Willie, Monroe, and James; three sisters, Hazel Sizemore, Molly McIntosh, and Beulah Cohen; two half-brothers, Asbury and Charles W. Bush; and two half-sisters, Jane Fitzhugh and Mary Deaton. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Bowling officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery. -
